• I respect you. I won’t be wasting your time. You already know that greasy fast food is bad, that you are supposed to eat more veggies, and that you need to drink a couple liters of water a day. I share cutting-edge wisdom, that hopefully you have never heard of; strategies that I find in obscure places, with all the research work that I do.
• Strict diets aren’t sustainable. I will never tell you to completely give up your fave foods and drinks. I know from my own personal experience that you can lose weight and keep it off while still enjoying treats, because that's what I've done for the past 22 years.
• Low Hanging Fruit - The challenge, when there are so many valuable strategy options available, is where to start. The simple part, which we tackle first, is the 'low hanging fruit'. From my list of strategies, we first eliminate what you wouldn’t even miss if it was gone. The stuff you don’t even care about keeping in your life. The foods and practices that never occurred to you, could be detrimental to your waistline. Then the next layer, and the next. By the time you get to the foods and practices that are more challenging; you will be emboldened by your success and momentum, and rise to the challenge. Simple is the best tactical strategy; one bite at a time. 'Low hanging fruit' usually is zero cost, 100% benefit; that’s why we aim at it first. Current research suggests that focusing on only ‘one’ habit at a time leads to success over 85% of the time.
